Last month, I completed the requirements for my Provisional Novice racing license with CMRA. It was my main goal for the year, and it felt amazing to achieve it.
But my racing journey is just beginning. In many ways, I’m even more excited for the offseason. I’ll be able to really learn my bike and have lots more practice sessions. I’m also working to get stronger and leaner in the weeks in between.
For a while, I debated whether it was worth continuing this project, and I’ve decided to keep going. I want to document my practices and what I focus on each time, what I’m learning about the bike, and my best times at each racetrack. I’m also going to share more about the folks that inspire and teach me, and why I’ve come to love and appreciate this sport more than ever.
I’m hoping some of that might be helpful to many of you, too. My real goal is to have even more of you join me at the track!
